The culvert crossings varied in size including 450mm RCP culverts in some locations, 900mm RCP’s in others, and twin-cell 1200mm RCP culverts. All crossings were constructed with pre-case concrete headwalls and rock beaching.

Works at each location included the demolition of existing pipe crossings, installation of new pipes and headwalls, and construction of 300mm full-depth pavement layers within the limits of culvert works. The road re-sheeting component involved the placement, shaping and compaction of 150mm of Class 3 crushed rock.

Additional works included cleaning and reshaping existing drains, clearing overgrown vegetation (which was retained on site), and widening selected corners of the alignment to improve access for larger vehicles.
